CHARLES D. TEIXEIRA focuses his practice on Personal Injury litigation, concentrating on Premises Liability, Automobile Collision and General Negligence matters.  He is admitted to both State and Federal courts, and is also experienced in other practice areas, including Criminal Law, Commercial Litigation, Landlord/Tenant disputes and Family Law. 

Prior to Dell & Dean, PLLC, Mr. Teixeira served as a Staff Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County.  Based in Central Islip, Mr. Teixeira was responsible for handling misdemeanor and felony criminal matters from inception through trial, and served the needs of those members of Suffolk County's indigent population facing criminal charges.  In particular, at the Legal Aid Society, Mr. Teixeira used his fluency in Spanish to provide direct, bilingual representation to Suffolk County's growing Spanish-speaking community. Mr. Teixeira continues to utilize this skill on a daily basis, overseeing many of the firm's cases involving Spanish-speaking litigants.

Mr. Teixeira is an alumnus of St. John's University School of Law in Queens, New York, where he served as a member of the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute.  In addition to trial competitions, while at St. John's, Mr. Teixeira completed various internships, including positions with the Queens District Attorney's Office and the District of Columbia Commission on Human Rights, a clerkship with the District Court of Maryland, and a stint on Capitol Hill as a staff member of the United States Senate.

Mr. Teixeira is also a graduate of the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania, as well as DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.  He is an active member of both the University of Scranton's Council of Alumni Lawyers and the DeMatha Lawyers Guild.

Mr. Teixeira is admitted to practice in New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.  He frequently appears for the firm in the Suffolk County courts, and is based in the firm's Hauppauge office.
